Is there no stopping the girl I hear you say...not when you are offered the chance to go here
And the only thing you share the beach with is this bloke
And whatever makes these
Which after a while I managed to catch on camera
Then because he was so busy he let his eyes down and was utterly oblivious to me
Strangely when you look inland from the beach this is the view
Our exact location is Waimanalo beach staying at a place called the Tahitian hut
http://www.vacationrentals.com/vacation-rentals/9668.html
Just 100 yards from the beach which you can't see but you can hear.
It is a locals' beach
And it needs protecting from the hotel chains who are currently trying to get the legislation changed to outlaw schemes like vrbo so that they can then snatch up all the beaches and turn them into this
which can snowball and make paradise into this
This is half of the view that you can get from the main road of the entire Waikiki beach,
If you check out your brochures...most of the views are sweeping from the side or from out to sea or sort of seagull view. Technically all the beaches in Hawaii are public but sometimes you may find you acquire a shrimp shell bathing cap going from the car to the beach courtesy of the hotel kitchen bordering the public squeezeway to the beach.
If you don't like getting sand in your LV swagbag or up your Betty Jackson tie dye then whatever floats your boat..but keep it in one place so that the point of being in el paradiso is not lost after all it is just a nouveau riche version of this:
Do I sound cross?
Anyway, one of the primary reasons for going to Oahu island was to see this:
Do you know what it is yet? Very good historical tour without getting theme park takes a whole day...
And so that no sailor can get frightened in his permanent metal bed they leave the lights on at night
In case you were struggling
And what they "erm" wheel in when they are very cross
Uncle Sam's little helper
And what you end up having to put your name to...we had to google the UK signatory!
But for once sorry my US friends but it has been known, there was very little trumpeting ...it felt like the 1940's equivalent of 9/11. The US still seemed pretty gobsmacked they could be trounced so badly and not see it coming.
In the full deal you then get to look at some great art work..I mean planes
Day 2
Venturing upto the North Shore...most of it speaks for itself
Roadside refreshment
From here
Then time to meet the locals
Spot the difference?
Then back to the views
Just round the corner from Sunset View...the whole beautiful decline has to be shown... Night Night
