Texas Storm

Tornado warnings all over Texas last night so I took this. It was just after the peak. 5 minutes earlier the rain had been huge swirling gusts making whirlpools. I could have done for the car to be lighting up the left hand side of the images as the flow of water was more impressive.

I kept expecting Freddy Kruger (is that the right film?) to pop up at the open window...I flinched every time the lightning seemed too close.

And incidentally I have shot the weather channel CHIEF METEROLOGIST since he insisted on interrupting programming from about 6.30 pm (the TV packed up completely at about 8.30) to tell us when the small, nay nickel, nay, dollar nay golfball sized hail progressed 1 inch across Texas.

It was a Shakespearean drama unfolding (including a town called Montague which he insisted on pronouncing MAWNTAGGG) before our very eyes though one of his bad ones in the early days...even had voices off left of stage shouting to him while on camera.

What with him and adverts for Extenz which means you'll have real fun....I leave the rest to your lurid imaginations.
